SOL DE BADAJOZ, SL is a familiar company born out of the dexterity and experience of its founder Francisco José Escobar Benítez, who, with the assistance of a skilled team managed to create one of the most prestigious agribusiness in Spain.

Our path in the farming sector is initiated with the creation of the first company FRUTAS E HORTALIZAS JEB, SL, in 1997, in Valdivia, located in the Vegas Altas of the river Guadiana. In these facilities, we already had technology that allowed the handling and conservation of our products, which allowed us to start exporting to countries like Portugal, France, Italy and Germany. Keeping up with our growth, we invested in buying and renting agricultural fields, where we sowed the most appreciated plants in the domestic and international markets.

THE OPFH FRUTAS SALUD SDAD. COOP. is a cooperative entrepreneurial group made up of companies and entrepreneurs that have developed their activity in the fruit production field since 2005.

Based on more than 35 years of experience in the field of fruit and vegetable farming, their members decided to synchronize their activities not only in the production of fruit farming but also in the commercial business, thus creating a company strong enough and capable of meeting the demands of the different international markets in a successful way.

SOL DE BADAJOZ S.L. and FRUTAS SALUD SDAD. COOP. are located in the Vegas Altas of the river Guadiana, in Valdivia (Badajoz), which belongs to the autonomous community of Extremadura, in Spain.

We dedicate ourselves to producing, receiving our own as well as third parties' crops, selecting, packaging, labeling, storing and selling fresh fruit, such as peaches, nectarines, pears, plums, apricots, flat nectarines, persimmon and pomegranate.

Our fruit comes from our own fields; presently we have 2.000 ha in production, and 300 ha more from associated farmers.

The annual production varies depending on the weather conditions, but we can consider the figure of 40.000 tons as an average between the months of May and October.
